The Best of V&A Waterfront Boat Trips

The V&A waterfront is the perfect place to find a boat trip. The boat rides, found along the Quay Five at the waterfront harbour, are the perfect addition to any day. Most fair-weathered days you will find a row of stalls offering all different types of nautical adventures.

A boat trip allows you to fully take in the splendour that surrounds the city of Cape Town. From the decks of the boats, you are able to view Table Mountain, the bustling coastline, and the marine wildlife such as seals, dolphins, penguins and the many species of fish.

You can enjoy a fun-filled party on the sea, venture out to Robben Island, or take a romantic sunset cruise with your love and watch the seals dance through the waters. Whatever you are looking for, you will find it at the harbour’s edge.

Waterfront Boat Trips to Robben Island

Robben Island, the small island located off the coast of Cape Town, holds much of South Africa’s history in its soil. Visitors can take a tour through the prison where Nelson Mandela was kept a prisoner for 18 years. The only way to reach the island is by helicopter or ferry, so this is quite a popular boating trip at the V&A.
